Divya Nautiyal is a designer from Mumbai, India. She earned her B. Arch from University of Mumbai and her M. Arch from Virginia Tech. As a student at Virginia Tech, she was actively involved at the CDAC - Community Design Assistance Center. Her work with the Citizen HKS Project was instrumental in shaping her vision about socially driven architecture. Her research interests lie at the intersection of design and social justice. As a student at Virginia Tech she was recognized with the Design Research Award for her dissertation. Her projects have been recognized by the Global Architecture and Design Awards, AIA Virginia and the AIA Emerging Professionals Exhibit.
